Legislative Branch's Efforts in Sharing Payroll/Personnel Systems Gao ID: IMTEC-90-20 February 20, 1990

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO assessed efforts by the Architect of the Capitol, the Library of Congress, and the Government Printing Office in improving their administrative systems by obtaining technological resources from other agencies.

GAO found that the: (1) Library developed and followed a plan to use the Department of Agriculture National Finance Center's payroll and personnel system; and (2) Architect and Government Printing Office made progress, but had not completed cost-benefit studies of alternative solutions for improving their payroll and personnel systems.
