1999 Crop and Market Loss Assistance Gao ID: OGC-00-25 February 29, 2000

Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reviewed the Farm Service Agency and Commodity Credit Corporation's new rule on 1999 crop and loss assistance. GAO noted that the: (1) rule implements provisions of the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2000, and the Omnibus Consolidated Appropriations Act 2000; and (2) agencies complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
