Eleventh Special Message from the President on Impoundments

The President's 11th special message for fiscal year 1977, transmitted to Congress pursuant to the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, reported on one new deferral of Department of the Treasury funds and a revision to a previously transmitted Department of Commerce deferral.

Treasury funds totalling $6.0 million designated for the Antirecession Financial Assistance Fund under the Office of the Secretary have been deferred. Funds for operations, research, and facilities for ship construction for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were also deferred.
