President's Sixth Special Message for FY 1981

The President's sixth special message for fiscal year 1981 proposed three new rescissions of budget authority, 24 new deferrals, and revisions to five previously reported deferrals.

Except for some areas noted, GAO identified no additional information that would be useful to Congress in its consideration of the President's proposals and believes that the proposed deferrals are in accordance with existing authority.
