Selective Service System Capabilities

The Selective Service System's capability to register and induct citizens in cases of imminent military mobilization was discussed in light of increased congressional interest. Unless post-Vietnam legislative curtailments are lifted, the Selective Service's near term prospects for a viable registration and induction system is bleak.
