GAO Contract Pricing Reviews at Selected Defense Contractor Locations

GAO reported on the results of its contract pricing reviews at selected major defense contractors. GAO found that: (1) problems existed in all 19 of the contracts it reviewed; (2) contractors failed to disclose pertinent pricing information to the Department of Defense (DOD) and may have overstated prices by $14 million; and (3) DOD failed to use relevant pricing data or did not rely on its contract audit agency's pricing recommendations, resulting in an additional $7 million in overstated prices.
