Overpriced B-1B Bomber Avionics Subcontract Gao ID: NSIAD-88-37 November 30, 1987

GAO reviewed subcontractor pricing under an Air Force procurement for B-1B bomber avionics production.

GAO found that, because the subcontractor did not provide the primary contractor with accurate, complete, and current cost or pricing data, the primary contractor overstated its bid price by $373,957. GAO believes that the Air Force should initiate action to recover the overpayment from the primary contractor.
