DOE Uranium Enrichment Activity Financial Statements

GAO examined the balance sheets of the Department of Energy's Uranium Enrichment Activity (UEA) as of September 30, 1984, and the related statements of operations, changes in government equity, and changes in the financial position for the year then ended.

GAO found that the financial statements presented fairly the UEA financial position as of September 30, 1984, and the results of its operations and the changes in its financial position for the year then ended, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. GAO noted several substantive issues that could materially affect the UEA financial position in subsequent accounting periods.
