President's Third Special Message for FY 1983

GAO reviewed the President's third special message for fiscal year 1983 which proposed one rescission of budget authority totaling $2 million, two deferrals of budget authority totaling $18,464,000, and a revision to a previously reported deferral which increases the amount deferred by $4,408,812.

Except as noted, GAO identified no additional information that would be useful to Congress in its consideration of the President's proposals and believed that the proposed deferrals were in accordance with existing authority.
