President's Fourth Special Message for FY 1984

GAO reviewed the President's fourth special message for fiscal year 1984.

The special message proposed one rescission totaling $1,700,000 and one revision of a previously reported deferral totaling $21,061,187. The period during which the funds may be withheld pending congressional consideration of the rescission will end on March 19, 1984. GAO believed that the proposed deferral was in accordance with existing authority.
