Occupational Exposure to Methylene Chloride Gao ID: OGC-97-17 January 27, 1997

Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reviewed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) new rule on occupational exposure to methylene chloride. GAO found that: (1) the rule would reduce employee exposure to methylene chloride and delete the ceiling limit concentration for methylene chloride; and (2) OSHA followed applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
