This testimony discusses the Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act of 1993 as well as other issues related to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) facilities and equipment, operations, and research activities. The proposed legislation would authorize more than $2 billion for the Airport Improvement Program for fiscal year 1994; would require FAA to inventory instrument landing systems; and would direct FAA to review its procurement process, personnel system, and organizational structure.
