Selected Executive Office of the President Expenditures for Fiscal Year 1988 Were Proper Gao ID: AFMD-90-83 September 28, 1990

GAO examined specific expenditure transactions related to five Executive Office of the President and Office of the Vice President appropriation accounts for fiscal year 1988 to determine if the transactions were properly made and controlled.

GAO found that: (1) the specific expenditure transactions from the five accounts were properly authorized and controlled; (2) projection of its examination results indicated that all expenditures from those appropriations, excluding those it did not review for personnel compensation and benefits and those made under Public Law 95-570, were properly made; and (3) internal controls related to those expenditures were operating as intended.
