Gao ID: NSIAD-92-197R April 15, 1992

GAO provided information on the results of its survey on alternatives to the the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) decision to stop development of a new, high-pressure space suit. GAO noted that in light of astronaut safety and productivity issues, NASA will need to reevaluate its decision not to support the development of a new space suit if estimates of Space Station Freedom extravehicular activity requirements are increased substantially in the future.
