Catastrophic Risk Protection Endorsement and General Administrative Regulations and Regulations for Implementation of Federal Crop Insurance Reform Act of 1994 Gao ID: OGC-96-47 September 23, 1996

Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reviewed two major new rules promulgated by the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC). GAO noted that: (1) the first rule provides for a catastrophic risk protection plan of crop insurance; (2) the second rule provides noninsured producers, policyholders, and insurance companies the regulations applicable to the catastrophic risk protection program; and (3) FCIC complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rules.
